Off to Hendersonville

Well, we're off to the mountains for the weekend! I decided to treat Connor to a mini-vacation for his birthday this year, and I picked a fabulous little B&B (the Melange B&B) in a small town in NC called Hendersonville. This is a very pedestrian and dog friendly town about 30 minutes east of Asheville. It's kind of like a mini Asheville, too! The food is so yummy and the people are so nice. I can't tell you how many people stopped us in the street last year to tell us how cute Bowser is! My kinda place.
When we went last year, we stayed at the Waverly Inn. It is about 3 blocks from town and so beautiful! We stayed in the dog-friendly room, which was decent. The other rooms were much nicer though! The owners (2 sisters) host an happy hour every day from 5-7, and it is a really nice time to meet other guests. We ended up meeting the owners of Four Friends Brewing, and they brought some special small batch beer for us all to sample! It was awesome.
What I'm most looking forward to is hiking. It has been so gorgeous lately here in the Queen City, that I hope it isn't too humid this weekend! The waterfalls in the Dupont State Forest are incredible.
Here we are at Hooker Falls. It was 4th of July weekend when we went, and it was HOT and crowded. There is a huge swimming area at the base of the falls which we really enjoyed. Bowser wasn't as impressed.
We love being able to walk around town and pick any restaurant we want because everyone has a patio that dogs are allowed to sit in.
Here we are at NeverBlue. They have tapas and margaritas, something I am so excited to have tonight!!
Hope y'all have a great weekend!

 xoxo,

This looks like the cutest place, ever! Very similar to Asheville or Blowing Rock. Have so much fun, and take lots of pictures! :)
